I’m making super progress on my Seafoam Scarf, sooooo glad I dropped Sacre Coeur for this!
Still dithering about how long to make it. If I carry on until the yarn is all gone then I think it’ll end up massively long, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Or I could make it a more regular length and find some other use for the remaining yarn. I’m really not sure.
There’s also a solid beginning on the first bit of my brother’s Christmas present:
Can you tell what it is yet?
I’m using 53Stitches’ pattern and hoping mine turns out even half as cute. I’m still an amigurumi novice so I’m not expecting it to be perfect, but if it’s recognisably a squirtle then I’ll be happy!
All the small granny squares for my scoodie are blocking, and I’ve made a start on the big square for the hood. This involves adding stitches to only 3 of the 4 sides, which I’ve not done before. Yay for new skills!
What’s everyone else working on? Made a start on any Christmas presents yet? Let me know in the comments!

Lovely projects! I’m still on my blooming flower cushion, and in waiting to find out the size for another pair of slippers.

The seafoam scarf is gorgeous! I ❤️the colors !
The little critter almost looks like a squirtle from Pokemon. That is my nerdy indulgence in video games I play with my son!

We should really be able to crochet in our sleep, that’d be so much more productive!

😃 That would be fabulous! I’ve designed in my sleep before, but that just lead to more projects…so didn’t really solve the problem 😉

That scarf is beautiful! Is it knitted? I, for one, am a huge fan of massively long scarves, but they aren’t always the most practical, hehe. 🙂
I don’t think I’ve ever blocked anything in my life…I’m impressed with those granny squares! 😀

Yep I’m knitting the scarf, and pleasantly surprised at how well it’s going!
I didn’t used to block anything, but then I tried it once and when I saw the difference I was an instant convert. Things just look so much neater after blocking, and with the scoodie it was definitely needed to make all the squares the same size 🙂

Looooooong scarves are a favourite of mine, and that lovely colour would look great wrapped a couple of times with long trails

I know, I love long scarves too! But on the other hand, my idea for the remaining yarn is quite attractive. I’ve got some sock yarn in a similar colourway, but with more of the green in it, and I want to try holding the two together and making something thicker. I think the two colourways together could look fab

Mm. That is a hard choice. Could you make boot cuffs in the second choice, and a longer scarf?

I love your idea for holding the blocking pins. I’ve never blocked my crochet because I was too lazy to find something to stick the pins in. Now I have no excuse.

They’re just cheap children’s playmats from Amazon. It’s amazing what you can think up when trying to avoid spending yarn-money on other things 😉

I wish I could say I had started on christmas presents. I suppose I have started the main one, but after last years chrisas crafting madness I am taking a break from christmas crafting on a big scale!

I did a bit pants at Christmas presents last year so maybe I’m trying to make up for it this year!
