WIP Wednesday 08.08.18

Current WIP count: 6

Camp was not the ideal place to start working on my Roses for Grandma blanket. My brain is not at its best when running on six hours of sleep per night, with 16 girls clamouring around me. I made the first rose six times before I finally figured out what the pattern was telling me.

I have a progress photo

But also a regress photo

I love the vintage look of the dusty pink and purple roses, and I decided I’d like to run with that aesthetic, which means the bright pink and yellow roses no longer work. So they have been put to one side for use in some other project at some point.

I also got on with the mini octopom for my friend’s baby

It just needs eyes and some stuffing and it’s done.

Not too bad for a busy week. Is everyone else having a good week? What are you working on? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Well, the nice thing about those roses is that you can use them to embellish just about anything. I put them on hats, the end of scarves and even on gloves. I also use them to decorate gift packages rather than purchasing generic bows. Give it a try!
