I knew I would end up casting on something new this week, and the winner was the Leafy Baby Blanket by Leyla Alieva.
It’s not as simple as the Nautilus so I can’t memorise it, but it’s still easy enough to knit while I watch Bones. Honestly, sometimes I need to look at my knitting instead of the horrible murder victims.
This will also be for my friend’s baby. She’s at 37 weeks now so I could get to meet the new arrival any time soon, I’m so excited!
The mittens have become my travel project. I still can’t really figure out the top so I’m just ploughing on with the second mitten.
At least if I end up having to just do my own thing, I can do them both at the same time so they’ll match. I’m focusing on the positive.
Now I’m off to a very important appointment, please keep your fingers crossed for me. What’s everyone else up to this week? Let me know in the comments!

Wow, it really looks like there are leaves in that blanket! So cool.
I like to watch Bones too. I have the first 3 seasons on dvd, so I can watch at least that much when ever I have the urge. Even though I have watched them all several times I never get bored watching. I have my favorite episodes and then there are the ones I just skip. There are not too many that get skipped though. lol 😀
