WIP Wednesday 22.05.19

Current WIP count: 8

Look at that WIP count creeping up and hoping nobody will notice. I see you.

This weekend did involve a bucketload of crochet, as I’d hoped it would, so I have quite a bit to talk about today.

I’ve done another round on Morag, and I can already tell she’s going to take me a while.

It’s partly that loop stitches take so much longer than plain sc, and partly that I’m having to think so hard about where the increases go and where the loops go, without losing count of my stitches or round number. My poor brain!

The Changing Tides blanket finally got some attention and I’m on to the next section, although that still leaves me almost four weeks behind.

On the way to Toft HQ (three hours of train and two hours of car) I worked on the poncho, so despite having to frog and re-do around 25 rows I made some serious progress.

It could have been finished by now, except I’m an amateur and didn’t take enough yarn with me.

Luckily my mum also has a stash of yarn so I was able to start an amigurumi she asked me for a couple of months ago:

Yep, it’s a tooth. Mum wants to give it to her dentist so it kind of makes sense.

And finally, thanks to some particularly good sessions with my choir, I’m now about halfway through the ribbing at the bottom of my Flax Light.

2×2 ribbing is soooo much better, so thanks everyone who told me to go for it.

Well, what a difference to the last few weeks! I must say I feel so much better in myself after all this yarny work; I really need to start making time for it every day, even when I’m busy.

What’s everyone else working on?

Hannah
