A request! I haven’t had a request for ages, and this one is for the boyfriend so I’m even happier.
He wants some fingerless gloves, nothing too fancy, preferably multi-coloured – No problem. I’ve been looking for an excuse to try out this pattern from Midnight Knitter, and we all know I have no shortage of variegated yarn to choose from.
I picked out a few likely skeins and let the bf choose his favourite. He went for Caron Simply Soft Camo, and I cast on straight away because I’m impatient like that.
As you can see, I’ve not got very far yet (DPN cast on is FIDDLY), but I’m already enjoying it. I can’t wait to see how the colours play out – will there be any pooling? Will there be stripes? Will it be completely random? Let’s find out!
I know, I know. Simple things please simple minds.

I love knitting fingerless mitts but I hate double pointed needles so I use the 9″ circular needles, and I have a set of Flexi Flips for the thumbs. They both work well :).

I was planning to use my little circular, but it’s so little I can’t find it! I’m too impatient to do a proper big search, so I just got out my DPNs instead.

I look forward to seeing how these knit up. I’m so happy to see your stitchmarker in use.

I got it on there straight away! I’m also using one of the unicorns on another charity hat π

I always do a don cast on on a single size one needle then knit off that needle onto the dpns. If you add one stitch to the cast on and slip/knit it to the first stitch once you get back the 1st dpn on the round the jog wonβt show. So much easier than fiddling with dpn cast on.

That should say DPN cast on, sorry, autocorrect

Thanks, I might try that!

How’s this going? I made “half finger” gloves with this yarn, but found the yarn to be too thick between my fingers. Would have been better as true fingerless gloves. Love the light sheen on this camo too!!π

I’ve finished one pair and I’m halfway through another – so it’s going pretty well!
