Sock it to me Monday 3

I think it’s Monday. I did nothing but bake bread yesterday and today I’m fully dressed, so it must be!

It’s amazing what progress you can make with knitting during conference calls. I FINALLY finished the ribbing (5cm seems excessive to me) and now I’m away down the straight leg bit. It probably has a name, but I don’t know these things yet.

It’s feeling good to do something productive while not being able to move around very much. Yay for socks.

  1. One of the sock patterns I’m working on class for 5.5 inches (14 cm) of ribbing (2×2; somewhat less slow than 1×1)!!!!! Clearly the person who designed that sock is insane. I’ve changed everything else for it, so I’m doing something different for the leg. Something like a reasonable 15-20 rows of ribbing.

  2. Wow, you’re fully dressed? Good job! I at least put on a hoodie and my daytime pajama pants (which are gray fleece-lined ‘joggers’ and are the best pants ever). Your sock is looking great and I’m glad you’re enjoying it!

  3. I’m out of bread flour and can’t get any for about another week. I’m boosting gp flour with vital gluten to strengthen it – with dubious but just about edible results.
Your sock is coming on well, but I think I only ever do about 12-15 rows of ribbing. Love the colours 😍

  4. Being at home all the time, and the rest of the family being home all the time, because of social distancing, I’ve lost track of the days. LOL I’m glad you’re able to knit while on conference calls. That color pops! Crochet has definitely kept me busy. πŸ™‚

  5. Looking good!
We haven’t reached that stage yet here in Australia. My family is currently a mix of at home and going to work. Miss 15 school from home, Miss 20 & Mr 22 uni from home, Miss 25, hubby & me still going out of the house to work. All social activities have stopped so that has meant we are all home for tea together – normally that rarely happens!
