Current WIP count: 7
So the heel worked, yaaay!
But.
I tried it on and it fits, but the leg is just too long for me, and I’m seriously considering frogging back to shorten it.
Is that a bad choice? I think I might do it anyway.
Flax was my procrastination project while I was avoiding the heel so I’m almost at the bottom ribbing.
I was put on furlough from work today so it shouldn’t be too long til this is finished. Silver lining!
It’s definitely time to get some of these WIPs finished off so that will be my focus for a while.

Theyβre your socks, if you want them shorter, rip them back! They look great!

Definitely rip them back…remember youβve another sock to make after this one, so it wonβt be a waste to rip it back as itβll save you time doing itβs buddy after. π

That’s true! The next one will go so much faster.

Wow, you are making speedy progress on the sweater! I agree with other people’s comments – if you feel you should rip back your socks, go with your instinct. You’ll be happier when you wear them and after all, more knitting can be a good thing, right?

Yeah, but I also like getting some FOs! Hopefully it won’t take me too long this time round.

Frog them, knit them as you like and be happy with what you end up with.
Flax looks really nice!

I agree, Rio out the excess. After all they are for you – and you know that you can do the heel now π

Yup, no heel stress this time!

The positive side to ripping back the sock is that you get to practice doing the heel again. It wasn’t bad, right? Once you get the gist, it is very intuitive.

I did have a few moments of doubt, so it will be nice to do the heel again with more confidence. Also my first few M1Rs were wrong so I’m glad I get to fix that.

I agree, better to know now that you’re not happy with the fit & frog. You’ll wear them more if they’re exactly what you want, and reknitting will be great practice!

Yup, I’m thinking of the practice. I can’t wait to get these done and on my feet!

Yes agree frog and be happy with the end result. After all you want to be happy wearing them.
Loving the Flax too.

I went for it, I never would have been happy with them the way they were.

So sorry that you are being furloughed! When does it start?
Your sweater and sock are looking great! Agree – if you are not happy with the sock length, frog and redo. Practice doesn’t hurt, and then you will have socks you love π

I started some day last week (I’m really struggling to keep track). It’s only for 3 weeks at the moment, but I bet that will be extended.

It’s good that its finite, anyway! I hope it isn’t extended at all and you are able to go back sooner rather than later!
