I finished the boyfriend’s socks, and this time I’ve even sewn the ends in!
He’s very happy with them, which makes me very happy too.
I’ve already frogged and restarted my pride socks three times (I just couldn’t choose a pattern) so they’re only this far along:
I’ve only ever used this yarn for amigurumi before and the colours came out looking quite random, so I’m pleasantly surprised to be getting regular stripes this time. I did say I wanted to try some self-striping!
Now the frogging has stopped it’s going pretty quickly, so I think I might be able to make two pairs this month.
Aren’t socks fun!

The boyfriend socks looks great and Iโm loving the rainbow ones. Nice job.

The boyfriend socks look great. Self striping is so addictive, you always have time for just one more stripe.

I didn’t think sock knitting could be any more addictive, but those stripes make it impossible to stop! I really want some proper self-striping sock yarn one day so I can enjoy it even longer – chunky yarn just goes so quickly.

Your boyfriendโs socks look great and I like the pair youโve started. Socks are fun, I never fail to be amazed by the heel…feels like magic.

This is a different heel technique to the one I used for the last 2 socks, and it was like learning a magic trick all over again! I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of socks.

Thank you ๐ They are turning out mismatched, but I think that makes me love them even more!

Love his socks; I am happy he is knit-worthy. What cast on and increases did you use for your Pride socks?

The cast on was just my usual wrap round the thumb one (I don’t know what it’s called), and the increases were kfb every other round. It’s also my first German short row heel! I quite like toe-ups ๐

I really want to like them but I cannot find a nice increase. Toe decreases look so smart. Then again, that is the last part of the sock anyone will see, right?

Ah see I have the (dis?)advantage of producing equally messy increases and decreases!

I don’t really feel like a beginner now, I can’t stop making them! I just can’t believe I was scared of sock knitting for so long.

I did the same! But now that Iโve knit socks for all family members, Iโm unsure what to make them for., so Iโm on to blankets, I guess.lol
