Sock it to me Monday 13

I finished the boyfriend’s socks, and this time I’ve even sewn the ends in!

He’s very happy with them, which makes me very happy too.

I’ve already frogged and restarted my pride socks three times (I just couldn’t choose a pattern) so they’re only this far along:

I’ve only ever used this yarn for amigurumi before and the colours came out looking quite random, so I’m pleasantly surprised to be getting regular stripes this time. I did say I wanted to try some self-striping!

Now the frogging has stopped it’s going pretty quickly, so I think I might be able to make two pairs this month.

Aren’t socks fun!

    1. I didn’t think sock knitting could be any more addictive, but those stripes make it impossible to stop! I really want some proper self-striping sock yarn one day so I can enjoy it even longer – chunky yarn just goes so quickly.

    1. This is a different heel technique to the one I used for the last 2 socks, and it was like learning a magic trick all over again! I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of socks.

    1. The cast on was just my usual wrap round the thumb one (I don’t know what it’s called), and the increases were kfb every other round. It’s also my first German short row heel! I quite like toe-ups 😀

  1. I did the same! But now that I’ve knit socks for all family members, I’m unsure what to make them for., so I’m on to blankets, I guess.lol
