Sock it to me Monday 7

Hey, guess what?

It even fits me! Although I haven’t managed to get any decent photos of it on me yet.

I took all the advice and cast on my second sock immediately.

Although I’d completely forgotten how to do the stretchy cast on so it took me 5 tries to get it right. The tail is still a bit longer than I’d like, but there’s no way I was going for a 6th time.

Check me out – past halfway to my first ever pair of handmade socks!

Halfway there!

Okay, I do know that one sleeve is much less than half a jumper, but it feels like I’ve been stuck on sleeve island FOREVAH. Like the body was one project and the sleeves are a whole nother project on their own.

But I’m getting there at last having finished and cast off my first sleeve!

Tempting as it is to begin a trend for one-armed jumpers, my sense of symmetry just won’t let me leave it as is so I’ve picked up the stitches for the other sleeve.

No guarantee that this one will go any quicker, but barring any major emergencies I should have my first ever knitted jumper finished this year!
