I do love super chunky yarn. Look at this gorgeous hunk of squish.
It only took a few hours to make, and a lot of that was trying to get the pompom to believe it’s meant to be a sphere rather than some weird egg shape.
It’s a bit too big for me or the bf so it’s gone into my Knit for Peace box. Hopefully someone with a large head will be happy to find a hat that actually fits.
There’s still a whole lot of super chunky yarn left in my stash, so I can definitely see some more of these chonksters in my crafting future.
ETA: This is the Chunky Pebbles Hat, which is a free pattern on Ravelry.

It looks gorgeous. Someone will be very happy with that hat!
I’m not a massive fan of super chunky as knitting with big needles hurts my hands quite quickly.

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to work on nothing but these! I’m using up some thinner yarn in between to give my wrists a break.

So pretty! 🙂
I once made a hat that was a wee bit too small for any of us. I had the random thought of trying in on my soup bowls. Yup. Next thing you know I had 2 sets of 4 bowl cozies from a crochet mistake. lol I had people ask me to make some for them.

Now there’s a fun idea!

They’re really cute! I love soup and stuff like that. The cotton ones go in the microwave so I don’t kill myself trying to take the hot bowl out. 🙂

It looks great. Pom poms can be so frustrating!

I’m still not 100% satisfied with it, but I’m worried that I’ll keep going and keep going until there’s nothing left.
