It’s been weeks since my friend at choir asked for another baby poncho so I figured I’d better get on with it! I’m using the same dragonfly pattern as last time, but with different yarn. One is variegated blue, the other is white, and both of them have a strand of sparkle.
The plan was to use them alternately to create stripes, but that came out a bit small so I decided to hold them together instead and I’m really enjoying the result. I love seeing the differences as a variegated changes against a solid.
I’m going to add in some arm holes to this one – I think the scheme in my mind is going to work but feel free to wish me luck anyway!
I’m still going through part 1 of my Changing Tides blanket and I’m loving it so far, I’ve already learned some new stitches and techniques.
That ruffle is definitely going to turn up in some of my future makes.
The first few rounds were looking very superhero-ish. I think the yellow and paler blues tone it down nicely though. I’ve not set any concrete rules for the colour scheme with this, I’m just going to pick up whichever I feel will work next, bearing in mind that I have more of some colours than others.
It was a busy birthday weekend and this is a busy week so I’m quite pleased I managed to get some crafting done. I’m looking forward to a quieter weekend coming up and the chance to have a proper go at all of my WIPs. How is your week going? What are you working on? Let me know in the comments!
